The Ethiopian Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, is seeking to eliminate human rabies in Ethiopia by 2030. To achieve this ambitious goal, we invite partnerships and funding from government agencies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and private sector entities.

Partnership Opportunities

We invite partners to contribute to the program in various ways, including:

• Financial Support: Provide funding for program activities such as vaccine procurement, training, equipment, and infrastructure development.
• Technical Assistance: Offer expertise in areas such as veterinary medicine, public health, epidemiology, and disease surveillance.

Funding Priorities

• Mass Dog Vaccination: Procurement of rabies vaccines, training of vaccinators, and logistics support.
• Post-Exposure Prophylaxis: Establishment of PEP centers, training of healthcare providers, and access to PEP medications.
• Surveillance and Diagnostics: Strengthening laboratory capacity, training of laboratory personnel, and development of surveillance systems.
• Public Health Education: Development of educational materials, training of community health workers, and dissemination of information.
• Intersectoral Collaboration: Coordination meetings, joint planning, and information sharing.
